Every year 33 days after the Pesach Holiday (Lag B’Omer), hundreds of thousands of Jews ascend to the tomb of the Tzaddik Rabbi Shimon Bar-Yochai who lived in the second century and illuminated the world with his Kabbalistic teachings and light a huge bonfire in his honor to mark the anniversary of his death.
